Clopay Doors Featured on Three National Home-Improvement TV Series

Clopay garage doors are featured in remodeling projects on three national television broadcast series this spring: DIY Network’s brand-new series “Garage Mahal,” ABC’s “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” and the long-running PBS staple, “Hometime” with Dean Johnson.

Two projects involved transforming the homeowners’ garage into a year-round living space, so energy efficiency and comfort were critical factors in the door selection process.

Based in Minneapolis, “Hometime” producers opted for Clopay’s 2-inch polyurethane insulated Gallery Collection door. Its durable steel construction and 17.2 R-value will keep the homeowner’s new art studio comfortable in both winter and summer.

On the new show “Garage Mahal,” host Brian Corsetti and his team of designers transform ghastly garages into homeowners’ very own “garage mahal.”

Whether it’s a Tuscany inspired wine cellar, a Las Vegas-style casino with a craps table that lowers from a ceiling or a drive-in movie theater with a workbench that transforms into stadium seating, each multi-function room doubles as a living space as well as a traditional garage.

Tennessee homeowners selected a Clopay Model 4050 to secure their new entertainment lounge-themed garage, which was completed with a flat screen TV, a copper topped bar and a dining area. Williams Door managed the installation. “Garage Mahal” airs Tuesdays at 9:30pm on the DIY Network.

Finally, Clopay donated an Avante Collection door designed with bronze anodized aluminum and frosted glass for an episode of ABC’s “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,” featuring the Cerda family home in Las Vegas. It aired May 10 and the Clopay logo and product were highly visible during the episode.
